our responsibility
our team
This Works is a British brand, female-run since its foundation in 2004, that creates effective, trusted skincare and wellness solutions that improve people's lives and wellbeing. To develop products and solve problems for diverse life stages, skin tones, and lived experiences, we understand the importance of a diverse team that is empowered to shape the way we operate. Our senior leadership team comprises 50% women, 37% POC and 13% LGBTQIA+ contributors.

our campaigns
At This Works, we want to encourage our community to have a compassionate relationship with their mental health, their skin, and their bodies. That’s why, in our communication, we seek to normalise and celebrate difference, to provide different perspectives on what constitutes a ‘perfect’ body, to tell the stories that the lines on our faces might suggest, or to help people understand that they are not alone in struggling with sleep, stress, or hormonal change. To practice what we preach, you’ll find our team in a lot of our campaign content, confidently baring their scars, their vulnerabilities and, ultimately, their bravery!

care beyond product
We believe in the power of selfcare to establish healthier habits and make them stick. That’s why, whether you purchase a This Works product or not, we provide free wellbeing advice and science-backed protocols from scientists and trusted experts, making wellness accessible to every body.

community partners
This Works is proud to support charities and community groups working to help the most underrepresented and vulnerable members of society. Since 2023, we have collaborated with The Sick Children's Trust to support families with a child receiving hospital treatment, often a long way from their own homes, giving them the opportunity for a restful night.

our product impact
We are constantly striving to improve the footprint of our products, and hold our wonderful suppliers to a high standard. Our key suppliers have signed and agreed to our code of conduct holding them accountable for social and environmental performance, and we screen any new suppliers for social and environmental practices. We are continually reviewing our packaging impact, looking to reduce or replace wherever possible and we integrate social and environmental performance into our decision making processes. However, none of this comes at the expense of quality. All of our products are produced to the highest quality to maintain customer satisfaction and our supply chain is audited for quality and safety in the finished product. We also constantly track and evaluate customer satisfaction and offer a no-fuss money back guarantee on products purchased through our website.

Certified B Corporation™
This Works is beyond proud to officially be a Certified B Corporation™. We have always strived to improve others' lives through our products, free content, and expert advice. Now, we are proud to say that our commitment to bringing you better sleep, nervous system care and self-care through science-first products, with integrity and responsibility to our employees, customers, community and the environment, is recognised globally.
Being a B Corp™ company means we aren’t part of a single sustainability initiative; we have a positive impact in our DNA and are committed to transparency across our business model as a whole and its impact on people and the planet.
“Beauty brands play a powerful role in society, and at This Works we take this responsibility seriously.” – Dr Anna Persaud, CEO of This Works.

What is a B Corp?
A B Corp, or Benefit Corporation, is a business certified by B Lab for meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. It reflects our commitment to creating effective, trusted wellbeing solutions that support both individual and collective health and wellbeing.
Why did we choose to become a B Corp?
Becoming a B Corp formalises our long-standing commitment to responsible growth and wellbeing-led innovation. It ensures that our values are not only expressed through our products, but embedded across how we operate. From ethical sourcing to science-backed formulations, this certification supports our mission to create solutions that improve lives while contributing positively to society and the environment.
What areas of our business were assessed?
The B Corp assessment evaluates five key areas of our business: governance, workers, community, environment, and customer impact. Together, these pillars ensure that we operate with integrity, care for our people, minimise environmental impact, and deliver trusted, effective solutions.
Does being a B Corp change how we operate?
Yes. Becoming a B Corp means we are held to ongoing, measurable standards. We set clear goals, track our progress, and publicly report on our impact. It encourages continuous improvement across every part of our business, ensuring we remain accountable, transparent, and aligned with our purpose to create effective solutions that support wellbeing in a responsible and sustainable way.
