Let's talk about how much SPF you should be applying. Typically when we do SPF tests in the laboratory, they apply 2mg per centimetre squared and that can be quite hard to actually then calculate into a real world value. People, on average when they have conducted studies, have applied from a quarter to half of that amount. An easy rule to think about is the two finger rule. If you divide your body into 11 sections from head to neck, torso, arms and legs, you need to apply your two fingers' worth to each. So, a product from your crease up to your fingertips applied into that section should give you approximately 2mg per centimetre squared, ensuring that you get the SPF protection that is claimed on pack. And of course, it's really important to make sure you are reapplying your sunscreen frequently, typically every two to three hours if you are in direct sunlight, or twice a day if you are in an office setting. And if you go swimming, you should apply as soon as you come out of the water.

Methodology
1. Study Objectives
The primary aim of this study was to evaluate the performance and user satisfaction of in transit skin defence over a 28-day period. Specific objectives included:

- Assessing user satisfaction with the product after first use and over time.
- Measuring overall user perceptions, including texture, application ease, and visual results.

2. Study Design
Type of Study: Quantitative user study with self-assessment questionnaires.
Duration: 28 days.
Product Use Protocol: Participants applied the product once daily to the target area as per provided instructions.
Sample Size: 36 participants.
Assessment Points: Participants completed self-assessment questionnaires at four intervals: after the first use, after 7 days, after 14 days, and after 28 days.
Participants: Women aged between 18 and 55+.
Data Analysis: Results from the self-assessment questionnaires were collected and analysed by an independent statistician.

3. Blinding Procedure
To maintain objectivity, the product was provided in lab sample containers without brand identifiers or final packaging. Participants were informed only that they were testing an SPF day cream.
